I'm a 40-something stay at home mom to 3 in Maryland. I love embroidery, both making and receiving. Before I gave up having money, I programmed pension calculations for an actuarial firm. Yes, I am a math geek.

I am into fairies, steampunk, cats, and nautical themes. I'm working on filling a huge wall with embroidered hoops.

Sexiest man ever? Severus Snape. The only other man to come close is Dr. House, oh and my hubby of course.

We have a bit of a menagerie living with us - 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, 2 lizards, 1 frog, 3 children... it is a madhouse.

When I grow up, if I could be anything, I would be captain nemo and escape under the sea onto my submarine with thousands of books and my embroidery.

My favorite craft to do is embroidery. I love getting a chance to use new stitches. I also enjoy sewing but I am still less than perfect at it. I love to play at origami - I made a pineapple for a swap using 420 folded pieces of paper.

When it comes to receiving, I love to get embroidery and cross stitch as much as i love to make it. Since I am lacking in knitting and crochet talents, I particularly like receiving from people with skills in those areas.
