I am a child of a God and I consider myself to be a spiritual person. I am compassionate and loving, most of the time!
I am a "Jill of all trades" when it comes to crafting! I like to do many things but would not claim to be an expert in any of them. I craft for my pleasure and for gift giving.
I am retired after working for 47 years mostly in the world of law and investments. I love being a mom to boys, four of them to be exact! College football is my favorite sport (Go Ducks!)
I love being a grandma and my Texas grand daughters have turned me into a Great Grandma!! I go by "GiGi Ali" to that little gang! 3 grandsons and a grand-daughter live in Colorado and 3 grand-daughters plus 6 greats are in Texas. Way too far to snuggle!
I can easily be considered a "chocoholic"! I have never tasted a dessert that I would ever call "too rich"! I look forward to my morning coffee and afternoon teas, especially Chai, Lavender, Earl Grey,, English Breakfast and all sorts of flavored cocoa.
I am an active, outdoors type of person. I recently took up golf and LOVE it! I would love to find a golf partner who doesn't care about the score. In January 2023 I joined the Hikers' 365 Challenge. That is 365 miles of hiking in one year. Currently completed 80 miles as of early March. I love to travel, read, go "junking", hike, visit botanical gardens and gardening stores and SHOP!
I consider myself a collector of the "stuff". While I don't always have time to actually make a lot of the things that I love, I do have all or most of the " stuff" it takes to do so!
I am a Doterra wellness advocate. I am passionate about essential oils and enjoy making my own cleaning products to reduce the toxic load in my home!
Card making; Scrapbooking; Paper crafting but not so much ATC's; Rubber stamping; Doll making; Machine embroidery; Sewing for the home, crafts and some clothing; Rock hounding; Jewelry making; Creating minis for my Nativity diorama (my latest addiction!)
Themes that I prefer are: Asian, Dragonflies, Butterflies, Floral, Gardening, Birds and Bird Houses, Ocean, Friendship, Thank You, Sympathy, Thinking of You, Inspirational Quotes.
I pretty much like all colors but my favorite colors are turquoise, red, black, hot pink, teal, gold, copper and silver. I love shiny metallic and glitter paper!
I am in love with Stampin Up; dies for my Big Kick, double sided paper; anything Mary Englebreit; anything Graphic 45, old metal ephemera like watch gears, small pieces of stamped metal, old style orphaned jewelry, etc; adhesives of all kinds; rubber stamps; and layered embellishments (esp Jolee's, K & Co., & Tim Holtz)! Hmmm...what don't I like!? Oh there are a few...
Themes that I would rather NOT receive are: Satanic or "dark", Disney, Hello Kitty, Kawaii or similar cutsie/kiddie, anything using foul or offensive language, school or awards type stickers.
I am blessed to enjoy most genres but usually listen to Hawaiian, Irish, contemporary country, blues and music from the 70`s-80's! I love Sarah Brightman, Andre Bocelli, Keola Beamer, Celtic Woman, Ed Sheeran, James Taylor, Judy Collins and I think that Stevie Ray Vaughn was the best guitarist who ever lived! I really don't watch movies or weekly television programs aside from the news.
I come from a non-smoking household, am allergic to cigarette smoke and animal hairs (esp cats) so if possible, please try to take this into consideration when sending me your swaps. A quick pass over with a lint remover for hairs or airing outdoors a bit for smoke usually does the trick.
Also, I donate to several charities that send me plenty of their free notecards, greeting cards, address labels, notepads, stickers and other miscellaneous stuff, so I would prefer that you don't send me any of those freebie type items.
Since I am a cardmaker, I pretty much only use size A2 envelopes or larger.
I rarely make ATC's. I don't care for bits of scrap papers, pieces of napkins, magazine cutouts, etc.
Being a sewer, I have LOTS of fabric scraps, embroidery thread, lace, etc, so I really don't have a need for those items. I AM happy to share some of my stash so if you are looking for something in particular, feel free to ask me!
I pledge to send out my swaps promptly and I will rate quickly with the wonderful comments, hearts, etc that you deserve! I love reading your profiles and I am grateful when people read mine.
If for some reason you do not receive my swap in a timely manner, please send me a message so we can figure this out. Lately, I have had more than a few issues with mail not being delivered or arriving very late! I have never flaked on a swap. I value my good ratings.

Happy August Birthday!

Thank you Ali, for the CF happy mail. I love Bachelor's Buttons and I can't wait to get the seeds in the ground. I love everything you sent. Yes. We need rain here too. Did we think it would ever be necessary to pray for rain in Oregon?
Ali, Love the little "upside-down" turtle.... that's how I feel at the moment! Thanks for your sweet thoughts I'm recovering, though not as fast as I want! (Hubby says "be patient"), but I'm not use to the inactivity.... though PT has me doing 1 hour of exercises and a 15 minute "walk" with my walker 4 times a day.... that does take up a bunch of time, LOL.
CF ~ Birthday Wishes
Blessings to you on your birthday this month!
