moment of my life in song

have you heard a song that "speaks to you"? the song either tells the story that you are living right now, have lived or want to live. maybe the song speaks to you by offering you advice, support, gives words to your experience, permission to make change or so on.

salute those songwriters and singers! salute your own experiences. print out or write out the lyrics to a song that tell a piece of your story...either one you have lived and experienced or are currently experiencing and then share the details of your own life and the impact or similarity that a particular song has had on you.

for example...there is a song sung by sugarland...STAY on the album enjoy the ride that speaks about being the "other woman". the character in the song is having an affair with a married man and throughout the song she wants the fella to stay but by the end of the song she says...stay with your wife. this song could be very empowering for someone and when they heard it perhaps they felt empowered to end the affair, or perhaps it was an experience they had lived and moved on from and when they heard that song it was "wow, that is my song".

either way....we want to share those songs, those lyrics, those experiences.

you will have four partners *you will include the song lyrics and the names of the writer/singer of the song so that your partner might find it if they wish *your letter which explains how and why the song speaks to you

get personal, get deep, because if you have survived it, you can be proud of your personal strength and chances are someone else can learn from your story. i just love getting mail where i find myself nodding my head and thinking about my partners experience long after i have put away the letter.
