Local Landmarks Illustrated Mail Art

What makes your area unique? Is it a permanent art installment, a defining building, or monument to a local hero? Please share the artistic and cultural aspects near you! You must: * Photograph or draw a picture of the feature that puts your area on the map! Size of the photo/drawing should be 4 inches x 6 inches. * The feature should be in your immediate area: neighborhood or city...please don't drive more than 30 minutes to get there. * Provide a background of the feature: Why it's there, it's history, what you think about it, etc.

You have artistic freedom with this one. Feel free to alter the photo, make a collage, include a poem (all as long as it remains 4in x 6in)....let the feature speak to you and share your thoughts with your partner.
