Description:

We had fun with the Spell STAMPS with Postcards swap and people want to do something similar again, so this time we will be spelling "APRIL" ...

For this swap you will be sending 5 postcards in an envelope to one partner, all centered around the idea that you will be spelling the word APRIL with your postcard themes. The word April was chosen simply because it has 5 letters, and 5 letters are great for these swaps, not because you need to choose Spring themes! All postcards are sender's choice, so pick your variety as you like and have fun.

At least 3 of the 5 postcards should be new, unwritten on, purchased postcards. The other 2 can be vintage/recycled/quartered/upcycled/repurposed/ handmade/whatever you like as long as they are something fun and something you think you would like you receive.

All cards will be senders choice and you should probably include a note telling your partner how each card relates to each letter.

Here's an example, just in case someone might find it helpeful. SarahtheSwapper puts together her envelope and she sends the following five PCs to her partner:

A = Homemade apple pie recipe postcard P = New postcard featuring penguins R = New postcard featuring robots I = Vintage map postcard of Ireland L = New postcard featuring a landscape

That's just an example: you can use any words, themes or quantities that follow the swap guidelines and that work with A, P, R, I & L.

Have Fun & Happy Swapping, Onyx

These are such fun ~ I'll sign up when the date is closer but I do enjoy these swaps ~ thanks for hosting!!!

You are welcome! Just curious ... do y'all prefer it when I post swaps with quick sign up dates or where the sign up dates are a couple weeks out? I like to do them a little ways out to give people who may be busy time to log in and see the options, or if they are challenge style swaps to see if they have the cards to participate. But if most people want quicker sign up dates I can do that too.

Sometimes I like them quick. However, something like this make take a while to find the cards. I am watching for now until I find the cards.

I like when the sign up dates are a bit farther out ~ I put them on my Watchlist and check it every day and sign up for the ones I hae time for at that particular time. . . and if I am out of town or not available, they just fall off my Watchlist. I used to sign up right away but after a very long stay in the hospital a couple years ago and then having to make up so many swaps, I decided to take a different approach to signing up for swaps : )
