Description:

Thanks to @AndrewLips for the title of the swap, and the idea! And thanks to everyone who commented on his swap, to inspire this one!

What crafts do you make? ATCs? Hand-carved stamps? Jewelry? Granny squares? Homemade postcards? Mini-quilts? Zines? Zentangles? Whatever it is, here is your chance to share it with the world (or if not the world, at least with some swap-botters!)

You will have 3 partners. To each partner you will send one or more items, depending on how long they take to make. You should put about 2 hours of work into what you send each partner (so, it should take you 6 hours of work to complete this swap). If you make a craft which takes less than 2 hours - for example, each of my ATCs takes about 40-50 minutes to make - then send multiples. If you send multiple items, you can send items which are the same (3 ATCs, for example) or items which are different (an ATC plus a zine).

Send nice items... things you would be proud to have in your collection. Or things worthy of starting a new collection, if that be the case. You are welcome to check partners' profiles, but in the end this swap is senders' choice. So if you receive an item, or combination of items, which took around 2 hours to make, you should rate a 5, even if the items are not to your taste.

This swap is open to newbies. However, if you are new (fewer than 10 Type 3 swaps), please finish your items before joining the swap and send me a picture of them (that way I know they're done and ready to go!). If you fail to do this, I will ban you. Anyone with unexplained 1s or 3s, please message me before joining and explain. Again, no message = banned.

Any other questions or comments or suggestions, please message or ask below in the comments.

Mint! (that's UK slang for COOL!)

sweetest0sin 04/13/2011 #

mint indeed ;) UK-er here :p

theanswerisseven 04/15/2011 #

Also - MINT! Hahaha. Also a UK person.

Anyway - say we send a zine for this, which is photocopied - the original zine may take say, an hour, but is then photocopied for all three partners. Would this hour count towards to two hours per partner, or should we include more stuff?

theanswerisseven 04/15/2011 #

To add to the above - when I say 'should we include more stuff' - obviously if the zine only takes an hour I'd be adding more stuff anyway, but.. well, I hope you know what I mean!

Emika 04/16/2011 #

Hm, good question. I guess if the original zine took an hour, then it can count as one hour towards each partner.

rattissia 04/26/2011 #

I'm sorry to say but I think that's a poor choice. I dont think you should send photo copies of anything to anyone on this. If you're meant to spend 2 hours each person crafting the items you should spend 2 hours each person. I think if I sent a picture of my soaps and included a sliver of it that I'd get a 3 for a rating.

It's not fair to your partners to send photocopied stuff in my opinion.

OverMoon 04/27/2011 #

I think its perfectly fair. Zines are photocopied, that's how they work.

''If you're meant to spend 2 hours each person crafting the items you should spend 2 hours each person.''

What if the zine took 3 hours to make? That would be 1 hour to each person.

rattissia 04/28/2011 #

Except you dont destroy the original after your swap and you have it forever to use. I dont think it should count.

rattissia 04/28/2011 #

if you send the origional to one of the partners then fine. Otherwise I dont think it should count..

OverMoon 04/29/2011 #

@rattissia

I think it should and so did the coordinator.

Also often when making zines I don't make it in hand I make it on the computer, so the original would be a pdf file. Also if I do make it in hand I often add changes on the computer afterwards, so if I were to send the 'original' if would be unfinished.

rattissia 04/30/2011 #

Well I just wont be joining any more that allow the assortment of them as I think it's unfair.
