When you sign up please post what size pages you would like to receive here in the thread.

This swap is in honor of a great blog I've found giddygiddy.com. If you'll follow the link listed here with the swap you'll see the concept that I've chosen to swap with.

To fulfill this swap you will have to include two things: A) fill a manila envelope with AT LEAST 25 pieces of paper that can be used to journal or draw on. The pieces should be clean sheets that can be written or drawn on both sides. Give things that you'd like to receive. Take examples from the giddygiddy Poor Man's Journal. Some examples are: blank pages from a take out order pad, doilies, paper bags, envelopes, un-used greeting cards, large paint chips, pieces of paper that have had stickers stuck all over them by the kids, calendar sheets from the desk blotter. (Ask your swap partner what size journal they would like to make and base your papers around that.)

B) Provide your partner with a list of at least ten really good journal prompts to help them get their journaling started.

Round 1 went really well. There were no flakers and I'd love for Round 2 to go just as well. If you have any questions, let me know!

I'd like 4 inch x 6 inch sized papers or larger. Thank you! :)

Robynmh4 03/ 3/2011 #

I'm flexible, just LOVE journals, so my partner can do whatever size is easiest for her. Thanks!

Lauriez 03/ 3/2011 #

i'd prefer 5 x 7 inch paper or larger please (i have big handwriting!) thanks so much!!

Angiegirl 03/ 3/2011 #

I'd like 4x6 or 5x7 if possible. :) Thanks!

LINDA50 03/ 3/2011 #

So I am wondering... if the journal size is 5 x 7 and we are using random paper then the pages would be no larger than 5x7, but some of them can be smaller?

I love this idea! I have been making one that I have sewn the odd pages together to get to the correct size.

fairyoflostthings 03/ 3/2011 #

Linda50: I do the same thing, sew pages together to get them close to the size I like and then cut them down with a paper cutter to the right size.

I like larger pages, but I am making different sized journals, so I have no preference as to what size pages I receive. If I want a page larger or smaller I find ways to make it the size I want.

make sure I have this right: we're just sending the pages, not an actual journal itself? (and in that case, I guess the journal prompts would be on a separate piece of paper, not written on 10 of the pages we send?)

what a fun idea,

requesting 5 x 7 inch sizes for me please.

occasiongb6557 03/ 4/2011 #

of course bigger is fine too.....

cja 03/ 5/2011 #

5x7 or larger would be great for me!

cja 03/ 5/2011 #

Oh, also OK with odd sizes...

Chaospony 03/ 6/2011 #

What a great idea! Any size is fine for me.

cazmae55 03/ 6/2011 #

Sounds a great idea to me too. My sizes 4x6 up to 6x6 thanks

fairyoflostthings 03/ 6/2011 #

CamelSamba, that is correct. We will only be sending the pages so that they can be added to journals, or bound into their own journal. The journal prompts are fine either written individually on pieces of paper or all on one piece of paper.

I personally prefer individually written on slips and tucked into an envelope or made into a list that I can cut apart. I like adhering my prompt somewhere on my journal page.

greengirl 03/ 8/2011 #

I prefer 5 by 7 I suppose, but not all of the pages have to be uniform in size, some smaller are totally fine. I can still bind them in!

greengirl 03/ 8/2011 #

I also really like the size she used on the blog--my guess is either 4 by 4 or 6 by 6?

smmarrty 03/13/2011 #

I like 5 x 7" or larger - thanks.

NikonGoddess 03/15/2011 #

I have been hoping to find a swap of this kind. I'd appreciate it if my book is 5x7 or larger.

TAnn 03/15/2011 #

any size is fine for me - i like to your all different sizes in the same journal

shelleym 03/16/2011 #

I'd like pages at least 5x7 but bigger is also welcome - I have several journals on the go. LOVE this idea!!

weyrmistress 03/16/2011 #

any thing larger than 4x5 is good for me; the wilder the better! i do very little journal writing, so drawings, pictures and whatever are my usual journal prompts (i can, however, provide written ones.... smile).
