Description:

My daughter gets so excited when my swap boxes arrive that I'd like to have a package arrive just for her! You will prepare a Christmas swap package for a girl between 3 and 13 (give your daughter/granddaughter's age and interests in the Discussion section). Kids and Christmas just go together!

Spending limit $20, including one handmade item. US only due to postage. There's lots of time so please be creative and only send items you'd like your child to receive. Please give hearts for extra effort – like theme or special wrapping, and be patient with the post office (I liked that comment from another swap). If your partner has more than one daughter/granddaughter, split the gifts evenly. Don't have daughters? Then give the gift you receive to a granddaughter, niece, neighbor or friend's daughter but join in on the fun. Shopping and crafting for girls is SO much fun!!

NEWBIES Please message me first and have your profiles well filled in.

Happy swapping!!

OK to have a (very) 'big girl' child as the recipient (age 22)?

toobusytostitch 10/16/2007 #

Is this OK if we live in the UK??

I can't do international swaps, so if this is, i can't play, but I'd love to... please advise.

CrochetCupcake 10/16/2007 #

Oh drats .... didn't think about that. Just due to postage costs, this will be US only. Please feel free to create an International swap.

My daughter (the one still at home) is eight, and loves anything Disney .. Hannah Montana, High School Musical. Also horses, makeup, purses, animals, pink/purple are fav colors.

I added an age range of 3 to 13 ... when you can still put together a package for $20 that will be appreciated. LOL!! In fact, 13 may be pushing it...

my daughter, Miram, is also eight (or will be by the mail out date). i think CrochetCupcake and i have stereotypical eight year old girls, because miram is pretty much exactly the same. mermaids, jewelery (but don't send earrings), anything little and cute. she doesn't have much music, so cds or burned cds of disney music would be great too. she adores nail polish, and has long, thick hair, so clippies or headbands are good too.

My daughter FooFoo is 3. She loves Disney princesses - espcially Ariel, nail polish, tattoos, stickers, reading (she's swimming in books though, so a gift card or handmade book/story would be best for that), foam crafts (or other big crafts for little hands), simple jewlery (but not earrings), glow sticks, funky tights, small stuffed animals, crayons and markers, kideos and cd's, little girl stuff...

My 10 year old is really more of a boy than a girl. She loves anything crafty though and very simple jewelry. No pink, no fru fru. She relly likes Webkinz and littlest pet shop. And she likes to read mostly fantasy and horror. She is however very girly in her taste in music, very current pop, rap( age appropriate of course) hip hop particularly. Oh, And she loves to draw. Is that enough? I can give more info if necessary. She's hard for me to shop for so please let me know if you need more input.

My daughter Jillian 3yrs- (whose nickname is bean or jilly bean) She loves anything to do with Arial or Sleeping Beauty! She also loves to play with barbies, lego's, any thing that she can do with mom. (she's a mommy's girl) she also likes Elmo. She likes all colors... pink, purple, blue's, everything & anything with sparkles

I would love to sign up for this, but my daughter is only 2.5. Is that ok? She gets so excited to see what I get in my swaps, that I know she would love her own box.

Also, do we have to include a crafted item, or is that optional? Couldn't tell from the description.

She LOVES Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)and Anastasia. Princess dress-up. Lip balm (please no dark colors). Funky tights or leggings (3T or bigger). Hair pretties. Kiddie toothbrush. Stickers. Coloring books & washable colors. Washable paints. Hard Plastic Animals (especially cats, horses & monkeys). Fav. colors = orange, purple & pink. Baby doll stuff (diapers, blankets, clothes, etc.)

My daughter Alexandra is 5 1/2 and quite the little lady. She is a girly girl in that she loves skirts, tights/leggings, playing dress-up and everything Princess related. She likes to cook and craft so she enjoys aprons and things that are like what Mommy does. We are finding that she is a budding artist so art supplies to encourage her talents are appreciated (paper, pens, etc.) She loves her dolls as well but we do not allow her to have BRATZ dolls and prefer dolls that are not skimpily (sp?) dressed. Her favorite colors are pink, purple, blue, and pink. :)

We are a home school family and some would consider us a bit "old fashioned" My daughter, Sarah, is five. She loves to bake with me. She has her own vegetable and flower garden. She loves wearing hair clips and bows. She loves baby dolls, her doll is a bitty baby..about 15". She likes anything Dick and Jane. Fun tights, socks, mittens, gloves or scarves. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. She likes to practice knitting dishcloths and is learning to do embroidery. She loves anything chocolate and minty. She collects pigs. She loves buttons and has a scrap basket of fabric she is collecting for a quilt. Email if you need help. christine
