In reading the requirements, it says no 1's or 3's (which is great bc I have none) but then it allows for "unrated" swappers? I understand everyone has to be new, but I think swapping with a person who has an explainable 3 and is established on here otherwise, is far better than swapping with a "newbie" that we know nothing about. I hope you don't mind my feedback.

No I don't mind your feedback. I actually meant to write no newbies. Thanks!

I assume you mean a glass jar. Is it safe/ok to mail those? Do we mail them "naked"?

j3ss1ca 01/29/2011 #

Yes glass jar. It's safe to mail as long as you package it well with plenty of padding.

No not a naked jar. Please decorate your jar. With paper, ribbon, brads, eyelets, flowers, etc... I'll add a picture so you can get an idea of what it should look like.

how do you feel about using clear "paint buckets" as jars? I have several sizes on hand and decorating them is so fun

j3ss1ca 02/11/2011 #

I think a clear paint bucket would be fun. I have no problem with that. Even the mason jars with the lid attached would be good too.

TurtleLove brings up a good point. I have never flaked on a swap nor intend to. But did get a 3 one time due to postal delay. It was mailed on time, but the receiver didn't think so.....hence i got a 3 i get to keep. Don't know how else to deal w/ that since it is in my ratings.

Stmpnmnga: I'm sorry I already assigned partners for this swap. I do have other scrap swaps that do not have the same guidelines. I'm sorry about your 3 and understand your feelings.

I'm having a hard time finding a jar. This will be my first swap like this and I have two jars...one thats a smaller one and the label says 14 oz and then a larger jar that says 10 oz. I'm not sure which one to use...help anyone???

j3ss1ca 02/19/2011 #

E-mail me a picture to jess_516@hotmail.com and I'll let you know.
