Description:

I'm keeping this swap to the US and Canada to help contain shipping costs. Feel free to start an international one if you like.

This one's kind of a random combination, yarn and kawaii. A magic yarn ball is a ball of yarn that you wrap up with small objects inside so that as the receiver unwinds it they find all the little treasures inside! Kawaii means "cute" in Japanese. They do not have to be name brand characters, but please no Disney or other American cartoon characters.

For this swap you will make a magic yarn ball out of at least one skien of yarn and fill it with small kawaii goodies. The total value of the package before shipping should be at least 10$ Please pay attention to your partner's likes and dislikes in their profile. You can also decorate the outside of the yarn ball if you like, but it's not required.

What kinds of things can you put inside the ball? This should be pretty easy since kawaii and tiny often go hand in hand. Hand made items to go inside are fine too. Some ideas may include: erasers, small pens, sticker flakes, cell phone charms, beads, jewelry, magnets, small note pads, sticky notes, coin purses, lip gloss/balm, key chains, small stuffies, etc.

This swap is open to members with ratings for at least 5 swaps (letter and net swaps not included in this total) and a rating of 4.8 or higher. No new swappers please. I will not be editing the swappers until after the deadline has passed so if you expect to qualify before then go ahead and join up.

Question: I don't often buy yarn, so could someone tell me how long a skein is? Or would it say on the packaging?? Cuz some yarn comes in balls and some in those long log shapes....

Thanks!

If it comes in a ball then I'd say that also counts as a skein. Just don't use only part of a skein, that's all. :)
