So glad you thought of this. I was just in my sewing room trying to decide on what fabric I wanted to use for the backing, I found it! So I will probably start making my quilt tomorrow :)

Oh this is great!!! I have all of my strips, off to get backing fabric and batting tomorrow... I will probably email a pic....

Got all my strips finished up today and decided I wanted to do some free motion (practice) in the strips so, I took pictures of the quilt with strips finished and only one strip completely quilted and now Im tired :) So Ill finish doing all the quilting over the weekend and hopefully get it cut and bound and finished up mid week ... It really liked this swap! It gave me a new quilt to make for my son, and gave me a reason to practice some more free motion quilting lol... even though it was supposed to be a quilt as you go ha ha, I couldnt resist though! Hope everyone else is quilting their little hearts away too! I cant wait to see everyone's quilts!

This quilting is taking me longer than I expected lol... Note to self don't do free motion quilting during the busy holidays :) this said it should be finished by the end of the send date haha thanks for the compliments!

All finished! Photos: Whole Quilt, Close up of Santa. Sorry about the strings in the last photo. I was trying to take the picture before it got dark. I am giving it to my grandson for Christmas.
