Description:

Hello Paper Passion Members-

This is my first swap and I really wanted to push the limits of our creativity and bring a little reminder of Spring over the cold months of winter. So, this is an easy-peasy paper flower swap.

Here's the down-low/details:

Make three (3) of any type of flower from paper. Your three flowers can be all different or all the same.

TECHNIQUES: Your flowers should be handmade by you and not a sticker, silks, or store-bought paper flowers, but other than that the possibilities are endless. You can punch, die-cut, hand-cut, stamp flowers then color and cut them, embroider a flower design on paper and cut it out, quilled flowers, wet paper and crinkled flowers, flowers made from newsprint, or any other techniques that you can come up with as long as it involves paper and forms a flower that you make yourself.

FORM: The flowers should NOT be attached to anything, so that your swap partner can use the flowers as an embellishment in their future projects. Stems are optional

SIZE: Your flowers should be no larger than 2" in diameter.
They can be in three-dimensional (3-D) form, but please don't make them too bulky. They will be easier to ship and easier for your partner to attach or use in their future projects if they are not over-sized and bulky.

FLOWER INSPIRATION: Here are some different types of flowers to inspire you: Rose, Sunflower, Peony, Carnation, Forget Me Not, Mum, Gerber Daisy, Tulip, Lilly, and any other type of flower seen in nature.

SHIPPING: These can be shipped in a small padded envelope, if you design permits or a small box. Only ship in a flat paper envelope if your design is completely flat and wrapped well, so the flowers don't get damaged.

That should cover it! If you have questions, feel free to post here or email me. I'll be sure to post answers to your questions.

Let's get creative and come up with some beautiful flowers to share with others during the winter months when we don't see too many flowers.

Split Coast Stampers and Paper Craft Planet has great tutorials for paper flowers.

FROGGY42 12/ 1/2010 #

Should these flowers have a stem attached?

PaperMoments 12/ 7/2010 #

Hey Froggy42, a stem is optional-feel free to add one if you would like, but its not required. They are meant to be added to handmade cards or a scrapbook page as an embellishment. It looks like it's just going to be you and me swapping on this one! : )

Hello Swappers, I've posted this swap in the forum, so hopefully we'll get some more swappers signed up. Did I mention that Newbies are welcome as long as you don't have any "1's" or "3's" and your profile is completely filled out. I will also angel this group in the case that there are any flakers.
