Description:

Moved over from The Darkness with more time given in order to avoid festive period

This is the second in our Stephen King film/tv series and, for those who missed the first, I shall just copy out the run down from the first swap description...

"We make up horrors to help us cope with the real ones"

It's funny, I think I love the films/made for TV movies of Stephen King more than I enjoy reading his novels, or at least the most recent of his books.

I am not certain you can be a true horror fan without liking at least some of his work, be it the novels and/or films and I think you would have had to be blind to have missed the huge cultural influence he has had and the massive contribution he has made in the genre for many years now.

So, in true Darkness spirit, and to pay tribute to "A master of horror" we will be doing a series of ATC swaps based on the films of Stephen king, the second being 'Silver Bullet'

These will be slightly different, in that I would like us to make our ATC as if we were remaking the promotional poster for the film, using mainly visuals, and without all the written info.

I don't really need to explain ATCs to anyone here but as I said in the forum post you do not have to do exact imagery of the films, you can do representation, quotes, your own interpretation etc. For example, some would be easier than others, like the rats or cujo or silver bullet. But ones like Misery, you could simply choose an element from the film like the snowy lanscape, origami animals, a wheelchair or some other iconic item and then put the title lettering in so it is like a promotional poster.

Although I say 'Without all the written info' you can add wording if you wish (such as quotes) just keep it minimal as the main words must be the film title itself.

The idea is to represent the film and get a feel for the overall tale being told, you can print parts of it and use already existing imagery but the rule of thumb is not to just print out a picture of a main character or scene and simply plop it on your ATC background and say: 'Ta-da, for this is my super duper ATC' (Ok so I never really talk like that and I haven't said 'super duper' since I was about 6...ahem...)

For this series though you must include the title of the film on the front of your ATC somewhere, the possibilities of how you might do this are endless...

Here is the run down of 'Silver Bullet' for ideas, inspiration or just a reminder to those freaky people who know the film inside out and word for word.

I am giving longer for this one so that there is no pressure over the festive season =)

Done, done and done. It will be better anyway as there is so much going on so hopefully this will work for people.
