Description:

You will be swapping a compact disc (CD). It will be of a Local Music Artist or Music Group in Your Area. There are many music artists who are trying to make it in the music industry and often times the people who first hear about them are within their area. This is a way to help spread their music and possibly a way for you to hear a kind of music you are not used to. Of course, it can be someone big who made it in the music industry already, just as long they are from the area you live in now. It can be a single song or several songs. This should be a new CD you purchased from a store because the money you paid for it will help the artist. It should be new so the CD does not have any scratches and is in good condition.

Please no 1's or 3's within the past 6 months. I will angel this swap and can't afford to angel more than 3 flakes.

Let me know if you have any questions. Happy swapping! :))

Do all the songs on the cd need to be in english?

humanpaperbag 08/10/2010 #

What about artist that release their music for free via internet? can we burn the cd?

mauiwahine 08/10/2010 #

@ Morgaine: No, not all songs have to be in English. It would be nice if you could translate a little though. So they know what the song is about. @humanpaperbag If the artist put the songs up free on the internet for you to burn then that is fine. Just as long as they are not burned illegally. I think artists who put their songs up for free want exposure so you would still be helping them.

I've got some CDs that the artists no longer have available, they were purchased directly from the artist, and they're in good condition, but they're not new-in-shrinkwrap, is that alright?

mauiwahine 08/20/2010 #

@ Sparrowmorgan yes I don't see a problem with that.

Is it ok if I send a cantonese / putonghua CD? Of course I want to spread the songs to somewhere out of Asia, I will do some translation, but I just afraid if the receiver want to have such CD? (an unknown language!)

@vhui I think it would be a good idea to personally message your partner and ask if that is okay you give them a cd that is another language than what they speak. I would be fine with that myself, but its best to communicate with your partner.
