This will the one of the many swaps that I myself and the other officers will be hosting to get the group more active! :D This is a little bit of a challenge swap. You will have one partner, and the aim is to show them your country (your culture, geography, celebrities, lifestyle, politicians, national treasures, or all of the above!) with the use of Postage Stamps! Along with the Postage stamps, include a nice letter telling your partner describing why you chose the stamps that you did. Tell them how they relate to your country, and even your life. This letter can be hand written, or typed, depending on how messy your hand writing is :P The minimum amount of stamps to send is 10, and please, none of those First Class Bell American stamps (unless partners profile says otherwise). I don't want to be discriminatory, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a million of those stamps already! :P You can send a lot more then 10 if you feel that's what you need to do to describe your country! The stamps are to only be from the country you live in (hence the name of the swap) and should be appropriately wrapped just in case the envelope is damaged or folded in the post. There is nothing worse then opening a envelope full of bent, loose stamps! As to if the stamps should be on or off paper... I understand that the newer American stamps do not come off paper very easily. Frankly, I am ok with any stamp being on paper, as long as they are cut out neatly. If you have anything against stamps on paper, then let your partner know once you are assigned one :). Postage should be cheap as this only required a small envelope, but be aware you may have to post overseas! If you have any questions, leave them in the comments or contact me by PM or email. |
