The rules are simple....you decide what type of journal or notebook you want to use. you may make your own if you wish. The only thing I ask is that the journal is at least 5x7.
Here are the first 15 prompts:
- In your journal, write about your own labels & titles.? Do you think they make up the whole of who you are?? Do you love your? titles or feel constricted by them?? Explore the idea of the “labels” you have and your feelings toward them.
- “The secret of happiness is not in what one likes to do, but, in what one has to do.” In your journal, explore today’s quote. What do you think James Barrie means when he says that the secret of happiness is in what one has to do? Do you think it has something to do with finding joy in those daily necessary tasks? Or, is it about choices – choosing the have-to-do’s wisely? All of us have some similar have-to-do’s… Laundry, house work, cooking, etc… How do you find happiness in the daily mundane tasks? Take some time to fully explore this in your journal.
- What is something that really bugs you?
- What is the best advice you ever received?
- What is your favorite day of the week? Why?
- What are you afraid of? Why?
- What are your favorite junk foods?. What are some nutritious foods that you like?
- What three words would describe you right now?
- What four things are most important in your life?
- What color makes you think of happiness?
- What parts of nature do you like best?
- Three things you can’t go without.
- What did you do this week that moved you closer to reaching your goals?
- Leaf through a couple of magazines and cut out any images that catch your attention. Use each one as a prompt.
- Use 1 page in your journal and decorate it in your favorite color or colors. Use any mediums you have.
The next 15 entries are all up to you. You do not have to journal these day by day as numbered…feel free to mix them up!
