Description:

Decorate a box and send it to your partner!

You will have 3 weeks to decorate your box. Take your time, and send something you are proud of.

You can use any kind of box (nice cardboard boxes, plastic, metal tins, etc.) Any shape is OK, but it must not be very small. No tiny matchboxes, cigarette boxes, or anything like that. As a general guideline it must be a box at least big enough to fit your hand inside (or your fist).

You use any craft materials you like (paper, clay, fabric, etc.) to decorate the box. It does not need to be based on your partner's profile, but do try not to decorate it with things on their "dislike" list.

You do not need to put anything inside the box. The point of this swap is to send a handmade decorated box for your partner to use as they please.

Who can join: USA swappers with a 4.5 and above rating, no recent no-sends, and fully filled out profiles. This is a USA only swap so we don't have to deal with customs and lost packages, and because for now it's only the second swap I have ever hosted. If this is a success, in the future I will make an international version.

Message me with any questions.

This looks like so much fun! And I have a cigar box that Ive been wanting to do something with ~ think that may be just right for this!

Oh, I realized I was not clear about one thing. should add that you should package your decorated box into a regular mailing container. Don't send out a decorated box "naked" if that makes any sense!

what a beautiful little treasure chest box Katyism! I know the lucky person who owns it! ;)

Could I sent a decorated glass jar? You can put your fist in it.

I think a jar might be OK, but you might want to ask your partner's preference, after they are assigned. (This swap was in fact inspired by whimsy jars, but I find it easier to do a box than a jar, personally).

Ohh Boy, I have just the box I have been saving for a project like this.
