Description:

his is an ongoing swap for the Quilt Block Swap with a twist. This is the 6th Round..

This is for all you Fabric Artists out there. If you are new to making quilt blocks this will be a great start.

You will make 1 fabric quilt block 8 x8 for 1 swap partner. You can make the quilt block however you like. Here is the twist. If you crochet or knit you can still join.I read a very interesting article in a mag today. You would crochet or knit a quilt block and stitch the block to a muslim or fabric background. This makes for an interesting finished quilt block wouldn't you say.

The swap generated enough interest for us to do this every month so now your quilt blocks will be big enough for a wall quilt to hang.

I am asking that everyone if they would please sign their block in some way.Just a little corner ect..

This has been so much fun and i have made so many friends.I so appreciate each and every one of you and thank you for the wonderful opportunity.

We will truly have a quilt of friendships.I do ask that if you are not in my yahoo group to please get in touch. It does not generate email just one to let you know what is going on.

If you would like to correspond with others then let me know and i will turn it into a public group where we can all chat about our blocks.

....hum.....I am so bad! I have to hand-in my master's dissertation on the 14th of september (and I'm moving to another country on October 1st) so I have dropped from all potential swaps I was going to join....And then I got this email. I had been wondering whether there would be a 6th round because I've been having so much fun with you guys. I just HAVE to join. I guess I need a bit of a break in between all my writing, right? ;)

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let Melissa know I sent her package yesterday from Scotland; I hope she will enjoy the quilt block I made her:)

Also wanted to say I'm sad this quilt block exchange is about to stop:( but I have had a lovely time in those swaps and I am already thinking of a way to make a mixed lapquilt of plain fabrics and the blocks I have gotten here to warm up my heart and soul:)

All the best, Christina

Oh goodie! I get a second block from Terry! :)

FunkyChicken - I'm doing your block today. I'm sad this will be the last swap, but I know how schedules fill up.

SewFun, why don't you continue this series?

If anyone is still reading this I'll be doing the next one, I'll get it posted later today. FunkyChicken or I will be emailing you too to let you know about the swap.
