Description:

A swap especially for newbies to Inchies!!

Anyone of any Inchie making experience can join, but please be aware you may recieve someones very first Inchies (which I think is cool!!).

For this swap you will have TWO partners and you will make them FOUR inchies each.

The theme of the inchies is YOUR CHOICE.

For everyone in the swap: The inchies must be 1" x 1" and sturdy on completion. Please put effort into your inchies and make something you be proud to receive. A sticker on a piece of card is NOT acceptable.

Inchies can be made by drawing, painting, collage, or even sewing etc so get your thinking cap on and get creative!!

SIGN UP RULES - please read before joining.

•By joining the swap, you agree to making quality inchies which will be posted on time. Non senders will be banned from future swaps.

•I reserve the right to ban anyone from the swap if I feel they will not be able to fulfil the swap.

•No flakers! If you see a known flaker sign up, please let me know and I will contact them. I'd rather lose a flaker than a bunch of good swappers.

•Note this is an International Swap - you may get an overseas partner!

•Finally - everyone should have fun! If you are having any problems completing the swap please email me and your partners BEFORE the mail by date, so we can resolve any issues.

SInce I've never done an inchie, nor ever received one, I don't know how they are done. Is it just like itty bitty 1 sided cards? Is there somewhere explaining them? I've googled them & seen fibers, buttons...etc.. so are there no "rules" for them?

They are 1 " x 1 " pieces of art - there are no rules other than they should be the correct size and sturdy on completion. They are like tiny ATCs.

Some people handraw them, others (like me), ink or paint the background and then decorate with collage, rubber stamping, ink pens etc. Some really talented people manage to sew the tiny works of art - mind blowing!

And some people (like me) use very unique items like shrinky dink, glass, wood or metal as a base. So long as it is 1 in x 1 in and art...you have an inchie. I often times punch a hole in mine and include a charm or dangle. I also wrap wire in unusual shapes....
