Description:

This is a great swap for anyone who does patchwork, quilting or sews small items.

  • You will send 50g of dress making weight fabric to each of two partners.
  • Fabric can be complete fat quarters or smaller remnants, but the smallest size is 3x3 inches. Larger pieces must be at least 3 inches wide.
  • Fabric must be cotton or poly-cotton.
  • You must include at least two different designs/colours of fabric in your parcel. You can include a hundred different designs, but the minimum is two.
  • You must have a rating of 4.8 or above to join the swap and no no-sends in the last 6 months.
  • Newbies welcome but all swappers MUST have a completed profile.

To give you an idea of quantity a fat quarter of 100% cotton suitable for patchwork etc weighs about 30g. This is for light weight cotton and poly-cotton only - no upholstry fabric or leather/pvc etc.

Fabric design and colour is senders choice but hearts would be appropriate for any sender who pays attention to their partner's preferences.

If you are happy to take smaller pieces of fabric let your partner know in the comments below. I know some people make dolls house patchwork and that is teeny tiny!

most quilters use only 100% cotton...

I think it depends on your budget. I use both depending on what kind of thing I'm making. But best not to join the swap if you only ever use one type of fabric.

I agree ... I use only 100% cotton, quilt-shop quality fabric.
