Description:

I haven't seen any cross-stitch swaps on Swap-bot. This is my favorite craft right now- where are all the cross-stitchers?

For this swap, you will send 1 partner 2 items: a completed cross-stitch project and a pattern (different from the project you completed), both featuring a summer theme. This could be anything you want, really- whatever summer means to you!

The completed item can take any number of shapes, from a nicely framed project in an embroidery hoop or frame (ready-to-hang!) to a needlebook, pincushion, bookmark, pot holder, towel, etc. If you have a preference as to what type of project your partner sends you, make a note of it in the comments. :)

The completed projects and patterns can be as simple or as complex as you like, and could be from a pattern of your own, one you purchased, a free pattern, etc. Since cross-stitch can be a little time-consuming, you will have one month to complete the swap.

It's always nice to take a look at your partner's profile to see what sort of things they like, but you can consider this swap Sender's Choice.

Newbies are welcome (I am new, myself!) but please have at least one good rating so far. :) Anyone else with an average above 4.8 and no recent 1's or 3's (unless you have a very good explanation!) is welcome, new and experienced stitchers alike.

I am an avid cross stitcher. Could we send something made up rather than framed though? I think postage would be a shocker internationally. I love making 'smalls' - needlebooks, biscornus, pinkeeps etc.......

i often frame my projects neatly in a wooden or plastic embroidery hoop, with a cardboard or poster board back for stability, and they are quite light. unless you used a heavy frame with glass, i don't think postage would be TOO bad. that said, you raise a good point, and i think it would be fun to open up the swap to any completed cross-stitch project (including needlebooks, pincushions, etc.). good idea!

Hello! I may be interested because I loooove cross stitch (on linen only, I do not really like aïda). I think it's a good idea to have added other projects!!! However, I have a question about the pattern of cross stitch. I think sending an original because I respect Creation, creators and artists. If photocopies are acceptable, I think I will not join this swap. Perhaps you could clarify in the description of the swap? Thanks for your answer!

Ok, thank you for clarifying the description of the swap.
