Description:

The first linguist's swap I hosted went so well that I thought I would do another one. This swap is open to those who are bilingual or multilingual i.e. know at least 2 languages. Please write at least an A4 sized page of 'basic' vocabulary to introduce one foreign language that you are proficient in , for example, so it is like a 'teaching' lesson. and then , please write the English equivalent of each of the words/phrases. Participants are also required to enclose a small gift that they think their partners will like. This could be language related or something else. Have fun swapping! Newbies welcome.

Just "found" your swap ! Just in time ! I live in Canada and I speak french (first language) and english and learned some croatian and german some years ago. I love languages too. ;) When you wrote in your profile you liked french related stuff, what did you mean ? So I can choose well for you. ;) I am new to swapping, I might need a little coaching. ;) Bye bye, Lucie

Whoever ends up with me as a partner: I already know a decent amount of French and a bit of German, so if you plan to send one of those languages something unusual or idiomatic would be really helpful! This looks really fun, thanks a lot :)
