Description:

I love scavenger hunts, and thought it would be fun to try and find books that fit certain criteria—colors, words, symbols, images, etc. I will continue this swap with a different set of scavenger hunt items each month.

I've had a lot of fun with these the past several months, and really appreciate everyone who has participated!!! :)

For the March swap, you will send your partner ONE book, from your own collection or from a used bookstore, thrift shop, etc. that contains all three items from the following list:

  1. In honor of St. Patrick's Day, the color green must appear somewhere on the front or back cover, or within the pages of the book.

  2. The title must have a number in it, either actual numerals or spelled out (for example, Fahrenheit 451, Finger-Lickin' Fifteen, etc.)

  3. Oscar Night is March 7th! Your book must mention an actual movie, or actor/actress, or at least have a character/the author talking about seeing a movie (or "film").

Books can be any type or genre—fiction, biography, self-help, cook books, how-to, children’s, little “gifty” books, etc. Sender’s choice, but feel free to check your partner’s profile to get ideas or avoid specific dislikes.

To recap: you will have ONE partner and send them ONE book, but it needs to have all three scavenger hunt items represented in/on it (green, number, movie). Feel free to send Media Mail (particularly if your book is quite heavy), but do not include anything else in the package, other than the note tucked inside the book!

Books can (and most likely will) be gently used, but must be readable and clean.

PLEASE include a note describing where all three items can be found (if it’s not obvious), and anything you’d like to add about the book, your reaction to it (if you've read it), etc. Half the fun of book-swapping is discussing the books with our friends! :)

Unfortunately, I have to make this one US/Canada/Mexico only… mailing books overseas, especially heavy ones, can be super- expensive. :( But feel free to start an international version if you’d like!

The legal mumbo-jumbo: No recent ones or threes— please take care of your old swaps before signing up for new ones! Newbies (with less than 5 rated snail mail swaps) welcome with fully filled-out profile, but PLEASE PM me before signing up! I will automatically ban you if you skip this step! Please don’t sign up unless you’re committed to sending!!!

Enjoy!

There isn't a media mail rate for books mailed from the USA to Canada or Mexico.

What I meant that if your partner was in the US (which, I think so far we all have been), you could use media mail... of course it would be a bit more expensive to mail to Canada or Mexico, not having the option of Media Mail, but it's still not quite as much as overseas postage. Hope that clarifies things...
