For this swap, you will create one paper fan to send to one partner. Instructions for a fan design can be found here: http://www.stampington.com/html/temptingtemplatefan.html The instructions include a template and general instructions on how to make the fan. You do NOT need to make this particular fan, but you should plan to make a fan with distinct paper "blades," and not fold a sheet of paper back and forth (as we did in grade school) to create one, and blades should measure at least 6 inches in length. This fan should be made using vintage images--not necessarily authentic vintage papers, but vintage images. Fan "blades" should be punched at the bottom, and perhaps reinforced, through which you will string some type of ribbon or cord. Tack a ribbon along the back side of the fan to keep the blades in line and evenly spaced when open (these instructions are listed on the website above). Try to make it look as "vintage" as possible...here are the requirements listed one by one: Create a fan with paper "blades", at least 6 inches long You may use any paper as the base of the fan blades, but please use vintage images somewhere in your creation The fan should have some type of ribbon or cord through the bottom The fan should have a ribbon tacked on the back to evenly space the blades. Embellish to your heart's desire! This swap is open to anyone who loves paper crafts--newbies included. If you sign up, please follow through; your partner is counting on you and your responsible actions make swap-bot a better place for all. |
