For Mom & Dad!

Thought this was neat since I just mentioned to my mom who lives very far from me about my swapping habit. She didn't quite get it, maybe she will now. My mom loves elephants, she collects anything with elephants on them she also enjoys spicy foods and chocolate and gardening. Oh and she is nuts for Christmas! Thanks ahead of time!

My mom loves cooking, elephants, boyds bears, tea, reading, and gardening

My father likes anything John Deere, sports, car racing, John Wayne movies, and orange slice candy.

O.K This is a bit wordy but anyways,

My dad likes (particularly British-made) steam trains, politics and current affairs, history, tennis (watching not playing!) and traditional candy (fudge, toffees etc), however he doesn't really read anything so 'fraid books won't really work :S Also some stuff to help him organise his stuff would be great :). Items he might like are a Cap, socks!, (cheap) polo shirt with a stripe or something on it.

My Mum likes knitting, books, clip on earrings and other jewellery, baking, long baths (however she does has sensitive skin), Christian 'stuff' (you know bookmarks, those little cards etc)/ or things to encourage/help her on her Bible study course, Christian and easy listening music, card making and scrap booking (when she has time)and she has recently taken a course in digital photography.

Both my parents are strong Christians (Anglican) and liberal politically (Including this cos it is kinda relevant to their interests) Oh yeah they can play all regions of dvd (just in case you see like a super cheap one!)

Hello to my partner! Here are my parent's likes & interests:

Mom: Cooking, perfume (no spicy scents, please), earrings, classic jewelry, recipe books, knitting, aprons, keychains, pastel colors, flower print.

Dad: Jazz, Musk scent, capsule toys, cars, trains, retro-ish candies, trolls (those doll thingies with crazy hair from the 80's).

My mom and dad do so much, so this is a great swap! They took in 5 orange cats, and they also feed the strays. They also feed the birds, deer, bunnies, any outdoor creature! They like any kind of outdoor feeders, lawn ornaments, etc. They grow veggies, flowers, fruit trees. They eat out alot, and my dad LOVES Tim Horton's. They use those one-use cameras alot. My dad likes M&M's peanut, my mom likes M&M plain. My mom goes nowhere without pencil and paper. Pencils, not pens, although she is having a hard time finding fine point pens, such as Bic. My mom subscribes to almost every magazine imaginable, so only new magazines that have to do with crafts or letter writing. She already gets Adorn (I think that's fairly new).

Okay, I love my parents - so I figured they would like to have a swap present as well. And I cannot wait to make someone else's parents a goody box! :)

Let's get some background info on them...

My father's name is Falk, he is 62 years old and we cherish each day that we have with him - he has had two heart attacks and one stroke before his 60th birthday, and we are still amazed at how well he is doing now. Dad collects miniature trucks with advertising on them, he is a painter, likes vegetable gardening and is the one doing all the cooking in our household. He does not speak English.

My mom's name is Sylvia, she is 59 and still working. She is more into flowers than veggies and does not cook when it can be avoided. She loves necklaces, scarfs and hats - and of course our dog! Oh, and her English is pretty good for a German...

My grandmother lives with them - she only likes chocolate and biscuits, as far as I can tell, and has been losing some of her wits lately, to put it nicely. Don't worry about her, but I figured I'd mention her anyways...

With them lives our dog Ronja, a wire-haired dachshund. She loves to play, preferably with balls or dog softies. I am sure that my parents would love giving up one of their presents in exchange for sth for Ronja. :)
