Description:

Well, this is my first public swap, so, please bear with me. I didnt see any swaps of this type, but, if this has been done before please let me know so I can post credit where it is due.

For this swap you will create a "Feel-Good" journal to send to one partner. You will put 30 seperate entries into this journal. Entries can be inspirational stories that you may have read in a magazine or even something you have found online and printed out, recipes for "comfort food", photos that are beautiful/inspriational, your own artwork, poetry, feel good quotes, etc. The entire purpose of this swap is to send a journal to your partner that will make them feel good! Be as creative as you would like and make sure and send something that you yourself would like to receive.

Journals are to be made from the standard size composition books and remember to decorate those covers!! This swap will be Regional US/Canada. If someone would like to start an international version of this swap, feel free to do so.

EDIT- If you would like to choose another type of journal to use other than the composition book, feel free. I just ask that they not be a small size journal)

I am giving plenty of time between sign up deadline and send date as I figure this will be a slightly more time intensive swap. To sign up you must have completed at least 10 mail swaps, have nothing lower than a 4.9 rating. Please PM me if you have any unexplained 1's or 3's within the last 3 months. I will angel this swap if necessary, but, lets not make that necessary :)

Happy Swapping!

I have not disappeared :). One of my sisters surgeries went badly last week and I was taking care of her 4 children as well as helping her out, so, was not on Swapbot except for one day last week if I recall correctly. With that being said, I have answered both e-mails regarding this swap and everything should be up to date. This swap will go ahead as planned, and I look forward to this :)

Hey all, I posted this in the forums but thought I would ask here, as well. This is my first journal swap (woo hoo!). Some of the created pages I have for it are almost as big as the notebook's original page. What's the best way to affix those kinds of pages together in the book? Glue of any type on a large paper-paper surface generally doesn't work out well. Stapling would be tacky. Double-sided tape would be an option I suppose, but not the most secure. I don't want to modge-podge each page because that would be a mess, and drying time would really slow down my progress on the journal.

Ideas?

@shinywen I think glue would work fine, remembering it is a journal and the pages will be pressed together to reinforce it =)

3M Super 77 multi-purpose spray adhesive works very well. Pages don't wrinkle and they stay stuck. If you get a big cardboard box and place some cheap pencils or sticks to lay your paper face-down on, you can spray the back of the paper and then pick it up and put it on your surface without it sticking down to the bottom of the box. This is what I am using.

Thanks guys! Someone in the forums gave a great idea which I am using-- I cut off the original journal page, leaving about an inch of the page attached to the spine. Then I just glue the edge of my new page onto that. I think for my next journal I will definitely try the spray adhesive idea too, thanks @wolfcreekartistry

Well, this is sad. I put a LOT of work into this, being as it was my first journal... and in return, I got flaked on =( @PrettyPoetStacy 's account has now been closed, so it looks like I'm out of luck.
