Now here we go again. 1 postcard to one partner. Something you've recycled from a non food box would be nice. Cut it to 4x6 and mail out before the eighth! Start now. February = 2! Eight is the day to mail out and 10 is the year.

Could you please explain this a lot better? What does 2+8=10 pc mean? So do we use a food box carton and make a postcard from that?

tiggerski 01/27/2010 #

I agree, very vague description here. Will watch and see if answers show up.

I think the 2 + 8 = 10 means this: February = 2, the date (8th) = 8 and the 10 is the year all of which are the send by date, but I'm not so clear on the description and what is supposed to be sent.

Westmichiganguy you're right! Doesn't matter what the box is, just recycle!kpetten51 you're right, too. I hope I cleared it up! We'll do this in March, as it is the third month.

You may want to chage the description so other swappers are clear. So, we make a postcard from anything?

knitmom7 01/27/2010 #

Think about making this a green year! Recycle a box!

Zooey 01/31/2010 #

You just cut a postcard shape out of a box you have in the pantry or whatever and use it as a postcard. Right?

knitmom7 02/ 2/2010 #

Yes! Make it an interesting cut. Hey I just got a new toaster! red box!!!

Elvisgirl4ever 02/ 5/2010 #

Do you write message on the card or mail it in an envelope?

knitmom7 02/ 5/2010 #

I always like stamped cards. If it's too plain, feel free to embellish!

When I cut out my own postcard, from a coloful box I had on hand, I wondered about how thick it was--and whether that would require extra postage. In fact, it does! So I thought I'd post these USPS guidelines for PC sizes & postage prices within the U.S.:

First-Class Mail Postcards Maximum size: 6 inches long by 4 1/4 inches high by .016 inch thick ---> $0.28

First-Class Mail Large Postcards Maximum size: 11 1/2 inches long by 6 1/8 inches high by 1/4 inch thick ---> $0.44
