Description:

This is a special swap so rules will be tight! We've discussed it a little in the group forum, however Im still open to suggestions/ideas so please leave your comments below.

For this swap you will be making Inchie houses .... see these beautiful examples.

Partners : ONE

Houses : THREE

Theme : Your choice

Size : Each side must be 1" x 1" TEMPLATE

I expect you to work hard at making something your partner will appreciate. In otherwords put in the effort and don't just stick a sticker on each side and claim its done! Please don't join the swap if you feel you can't follow these rules.

For posting purposes I was wondering if you want to leave the houses flat and the reciever can stick together on arrival - please let me know what you think below and I'll firm up the rules before the swap closes. UPDATE: The majority go for posting flat - see comments below

There is plenty time before posting date to allow you some practise - I know I'll need it!!

If anyone doesn't meet the rules but still fancies the swap, please either post a request in the group forum or message me and I'll see what I can do.

.

BORING BUT NECESSARY RULES!

•By joining the swap, you agree to making quality inchies which will be posted on time. Non senders will be banned from future swaps.

•You must have a 4.9 rating or higher to participate. At least 5 completed mail swaps (i.e not e-swaps). If you feel you have any unjustified ratings that stop you joining, please feel free to contact me and we can discuss.

•If you are a newbie and wish to join please pm me and we'll talk it through.

•I reserve the right to ban anyone from the swap, if i feel they will not be able to fufill the swap.

•No flakers! If you see a known flaker sign up, please let me know and i will contact them. I'd rather lose a flaker than a bunch of good swappers.

•Note this is an International Swap - you may get an overseas partner!

•Finally - everyone should have fun! If you are having any problems completing the swap please email me and your partners BEFORE the mail by date, so we can resolve any issues.

Please state below if you want to leave houses flat for posting & the reciever can stick them together or if you want to post them already assembled .......

revolutionoise 01/12/2010 #

This is the freakin cutest thing! Im In :D

blynken 01/13/2010 #

"Some assembly required" would be nice. :) I would prefer to post them flat so they don't get squashed in the mail.

doublesided 01/15/2010 #

Thanks for the input Blynken - I thought flat would make them easier for posting and prevent squashing in the mail, we'll see what the others think.

So cute! Definitely thinking posting flat is going to be easier, otherwise it is going to take a strong box or lots of packaging to ensure they arrive safely. And waht fun to have to "build" them when they arrive!

homeandheart 01/21/2010 #

Could they be shipped assembled if we want?

doublesided 01/25/2010 #

You could post them assembled if you wish, but you'd need to make sure they were packed really well to avoid postal workers destroying your good work.

user6937 01/28/2010 #

I vote for flat - otherwise postage will be too much to send (from Canada, anyway). And, it WOULD be fun to put together when it arrives.

doublesided 01/29/2010 #

Ok flat it is! We shall mail the finished items flat and our partners shall assemble on receipt.

You can send ready assembled if you want but please rememeber you will have to ensure that they are VERY well packaged to prevent them getting crushed during travel - remember you may be sending overseas.

Ive been asked a question about the template - just to confirm, once printed, this would make two houses. Both make the same house, the top one just has more tabs on it and so the house roof is a little more secure. Happy creating - Im off to try mine!

KizzyMama 01/30/2010 #

so each one of those squares in the template is 1 inch right? just checking

doublesided 01/31/2010 #

Yes Kizzy, well to be honest its ever so slightly less but i wont tell if you dont!!

Thanks to everyone whos joined - I think this will be a realyy cool swap!

doublesided 02/ 1/2010 #

Just waiting for a few people to respond to my emails to them before I assign partners .... I want to be sure everyone is still active/can complete the swap.

doublesided 02/12/2010 #

OK i finished mine today - yay!! I almost wish i could stick them together just to see how good they look! Perhaps we organise to photograph the ones we recieve and display them in the forum ?

KizzyMama 02/25/2010 #

yeah i think we should because it would be a shame not to see the final product

FibreJunky 03/16/2010 #

This was such a FUN swap!! Thank you to @doublesided for arranging it!
