Holiday Music MP3 Swap

The holidays are upon us and soon the radio stations will be playing endless Christmas music. Personally I wish they would play a little more variety as I am so sick of "Jingle Bell Rock", "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Clause", "Winter Wonderland" and other sadly overplayed old classics.

For this swap you will send each of your partners at least five (5) MP3 songs that are holiday related. They do not need to be Christmas but they need to be related to the winter holiday period. These should be favorites of yours but try not to do tired old favorites unless it's a new version of that old favorite (Lady Gaga singing "Winter Wonderland" could be interesting).

You should also tell your partner something about why you're including the songs you're sending. When did you first hear it or does it have some significance to you? Or does it make you cry when you hear it, or want to sing along out loud? And don't forget to note your Swap-Bot name on your email so your partners can easily identify you for rating.

Feel free to include more than five. These should be in the MP3 format. Please no links to sites to download the songs. The MP3s should be in your own email. If your email doesn't allow for multiple downloads, you can send multiple emails, just note it appropriately in the subject line so that your partners don't think you accidentally sent the same email multiple times.

This is open to most swappers regardless of recent ratings because I can easily angel any flakers. But I reserve the right to ban anyone who doesn't seem like they would be a good swap partner.

I'm thinking five (5) partners but if we have a good sign up and people would like more partners, let me know and I might up it appropriately (perhaps 10 partners?).

And don't forget to rate your partners for sending to you. Rating is part of your swapping obligations so if you don't intend to rate, don't join. And speaking of rating, if you don't receive by the deadline from a swap partner, do PM them and check before downrating them. Emails can go astray or be blocked by your provider. So don't immediately assume you have a flaker if they marked "Sent" on the swap.
