This is for those swappers that might have a few

seconds of spare time during the holiday

season. You know that saying "No rest for the wicked?"

I think it's really "No rest for the crafty".

I am compelled to keep busy making

making making, so this swap is for you

(and me too)

"I am so behind the "cool" curve. I just learned

about Ugly Dolls. Where have I been,

what rock have I been hiding under?

If the Presidents daughter can be cool,

well, so can we!

Put the word "ugly doll" in search and wow,

there are a zillion sites and just about that

many different types of ugly dolls. Well, we can

be as cool as the next person, but because

we make that which we could buy,

we are going to make ourselves an ugly doll.

This swap is for 1 ugly doll. I have not found

an actual pattern, but all you have to do is

find a picture of one and draw it out on paper,

cut it out and there you go. It can be made

out of felt or fabric. Let's make it at least

6 - 8" high. Stuff it with clean fiber fil - I don't think

these are stuffed to the max like other softies. Make sure

you tell your partner what it's name is,

they all have names. You do have some artistic freedom,

for example, I don't turn but stitch on top so

you can see the stitches.

It should fit in a 9 x 12 manila envelope. It

will be light. Should we let our international

sisters join in? Yah, I guess we will.

Requirements: No 1's or 3's in the last

6 months. No exceptions. Newbies welcome.

No flakers, I will angel.

I would give it a faster turn around, but it is the holidays (darn), after all.

It was just suggested to me that we might be infringing on come type of copy right, etc., so technically, we are making handmade dolls that look like but are not ugly dolls.
