Description:

If you haven't received your swap by Sept. 16, please let me know. Thx!

wyld ivy has kindly let me duplicate her US only swap as long as I don't steal any of her participants. Ergo, this is a swap for anyone residing outside of the U.S. only

To play you will need to sign up and leave a comment in the discussion section below. Please tell us your: - 3 favorite colours (just basics please, not like "medium sage green with a yellow cast"!) - 1 favorite season (spring, summer, autumn, or winter)

When you get your assigned partner, you will use this information along with their profile to send them a package of "Many Thoughtful Little Things!" You will have about a month to put together and send your package, so please put some time and thought into it.
Your package must be in a 6" x 9" (15 cm x 22.5 cm) bubble mailer (or close equivalent) and contain the following:

  • 1 handmade ATC or postcard that is shiny and/or sparkly, using 1 or more of their favourite colours
  • 1 small handmade gift, using 1 or more of their favourite colours
  • 1 sheet (or equivalent amount) of stickers
  • something that makes noise
  • something with a theme related to their favourite season (be careful about sending actual items from outdoors, due to postal and customs regulations - we don't want our swaps confiscated!)
  • 1 small charm you think your partner would like
  • 1 picture/photo/flat piece of art that reminds you of your partner's favorite season (this should be 4 x 6 size and something they could put in a frame if they wanted)
  • a note telling them about something that made you smile or lifted your spirits

Rules of the game: - Everything must fit into the 6" x 9" (approx.) mailer - Everything must be wrapped in some way, so that it's as fun and interesting to open as possible - You may not spend more than $10US (before mailing) on items or supplies (No cheating! It's the thought and time we put into it, not the money we spend, that count.)

You must have a rating of 4.5 or higher and no more than one no-send (not recent). Sorry, no newbies. If you have a dodgy history, or if you haven't met all of the swap requirements up to that point, I reserve the right to ban, which will be done after the sign-up deadline.

**EDITED AUG. 16: If you have not received your swap by September 16, please let me know. Thx! T. **

Hi guys:)

I'm really enjoying putting this swap together:) I do however have a couple of questions: is it ok if the picture/photo/flat piece of art is a postcard (found a gorgeous "autumny" postcard, you see:) that is slightly bigger than the 4 x 6 size? Are the stickers supposed to relate to our partner's favourite season and/or colours? Can you give an example of a charm (I'm thinking "bookmark" but I may be way off)?

Thanks:)

Christina

Hi chrichri:

A PC would be fine - some of them are beautiful - but it should be frameable too. (I know I would be ok with that size because I can get those acrylic frames at the dollar store that take odd sizes, but perhaps you should check with your partner first. Or maybe it could be trimmed just a little to fit?)

I didn't specify any requirements for the stickers, as long as they are nice ones. I am going to send my partner some based on their profile.

Charms can be found in the crafts section of any dollar store and are sold as just that - "charms". Sometimes you can get 2 or 3 in a package. They can also be bought at craft stores like Michaels and Joann's. I have seen them in the buttons sections at fabric shops - they just have a loop at the top rather than on the back. You could also make them out of beads (like those on thong bookmarks) or wire or fabric squares - like "inchies" (you can google that if you are unsure what it is). Anything that you could conceivably hang on a bracelet or use as a pendant or zipper pull or hang on a cell phone antenna or use to embellish a handmade card, would be considered a charm. As long as it is small and has some kind of a hanger on it.

Hope this helps! T.
