Since I have has my son, I have been buying many children's books for him. I have found that the ones I choose to buy are ones that I have loved as a kid. I have also found some new ones that I wish I would have read as a child. I would like to get some new ideas for books and would love to here what some of your all time favorite books were as a child or your childs all time favorites.

Please send a list of your ten favorite Children's books to your partner.

optional You can also send a list of your favorite books as a preteen or teen. (This is not mandatory).

What a GREAT idea for a swap! If I wasn't busy with visitors during this time, I'd definitely be participating. :)

How do we send the list? Letter? postcard? email?

tamipal6 06/26/2007 #

I should add that I also think this is a wonderful idea! I was just recently talking with my kids about their favorite picture books. :)

Yeah I agree with tamipal, do we write a list of 10 books neatly on a piece of paper or do we email etc? I'm interested in joining.

What is the age range for the books? Are they picture books?

Hi,

You can send the list in the form of a letter and can be as creative as you like! If your list will fit on a postcard that is fine too. No emails please. It has to go in the mail.

For the children's book list, try and pick books that are not chapter books. Example: Good night Moon or Paddington Bear etc.

If you want to add a list of young reader books as well, this will be where you would include Chapter books. ex: The Outsiders etc.

I hope this helps.

Do you have to have kids' to join? I only ask, simply because I don't, but I work with kids and have a list of favorites to share.

Thanks for answering my question. :)

What a great swap! I just bought a bunch of childrens books that I had when I was little. I found them at a swap meat. It was so fun to go through them again.

No you don't have kids to join. I love reading children's books even before I had my son. There are so many amazing books out there that both adults and children like. This is your personal pick of the books that mean something to you. You may have read them as a child or you may have read them when you are older. I hope everyone enjoys the swap.

I've got my lists in envlopes waiting for the partner info. My kids and I had fun putting them together!

My lists are in their envelopes and waiting to be addressed, but I will be leaving town at the end of this week for a family medical ordeal. I will be without a computer for at least two weeks which means AFTER the "send by" deadline. Any idea when partners will be assigned?
