Description:

Create a little goddess doll (dottee type, for example) that embodies Winter.

Winter: The cold sleep season. Protective blankets of snow that insulate and incubate the seeds and soil for spring. The time of insular activity, deep meditations, reflection on the past present and future. Fun in the snow. Seeing the invisible-- wildlife tracks in the snow, frost crystals on the window, ice encrusted spider webs...

Make one doll for one partner. We'll send out just before solstice.

Does it have to be a dottee? can it be a no sew doll?

sweetypiedie 11/ 5/2009 #

Watching for now. :)

I'm hoping a no sew doll is ok too...

Can the doll be made of anything? like clay for example or mixed media?

sultrypeacock 11/ 9/2009 #

Yes, the doll can be no-sew! clay or mixed media or whatever makes you (the creator / sender) happiest! We all know how to make something wonderful that we're proud to send, so please feel free to experiment away. :)

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question and I am so looking forward to this doll.

I pulled out a few things this afternoon to get started on my Winter Goddess and got so inspired she is finished! I hope my partner is happy with my wintery fleecy snowflake Goddess!

I found a fabric remnant at the store yesterday that is absolutely meant to be for this doll! OOOh so pretty.
