Description:

For our first group swap we will start out with something easy. In this swap we will send out 3 postcards to one partner. Starting on a Monday we will send out one postcard to welcome the beginning of the week. Then on that following Wednesday we will send out a hump day postcard and then on Friday a tgif postcard. Your postcards can be of anything you want, even DIY or upcycled postcards. Just make sure you send out three (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Since this is our first swap and the group is still coming together I am setting the sign up and beginning start date for a few weeks away (hopefully we will have more people to join by then!).

One question :) What is a DIY or upcycled card?

CrowsFox 10/26/2009 #

hmmm... im not a fan of "upcycled" postcards.. like made out of cereal boxes and such... i Believe DIY is do-it-yourself?? That would mean handmade?

Correct @crowsfox My daughter upcycles cereal boxes but she paints the side with all of the printed graphic on them. Some people make collages on them.

haha! you just haven't gotten an upcycled pc from me! i do the grocery box pc swaps.. the ones i get are often only a cut protion of the box. no embellisment. i did a transformers fruitsnack box, cut a stencil, blacked out everything but the transformer with shiny black spraypaint and a light mist of chrome spraypaint, and outlined the transformer in glow-in the-dark. it was pretty awesome looking. :)
