Welcome to Winner Takes All Bingo!

If this is successful, we'll do it again. For this first round, all of the words are Crafts and Hobbies.

The game rules:

This game has been set up as a swap to ensure accountability. Each player will choose 25 words that will serve as the bingo card. Each day, I'll randomly pull 5 words and call them by posting in the comments section until someone calls (posts) BINGO by completing all 25 words on her/his their list/board.

I'll start calling words on Monday, Sept. 14.

Each player will send the winner any one of the items on the list. That's the winner take all part! I'll send the winner's name/address to the players. (In the event of two or more winners, each person will receive an equal number of items. I'll divide up the players and I'll send the names/addresses of winners.)

It'll be a good idea for you to print out your list so you can mark off the called words each day.

I won't be playing, but will send out a postcard and prize. I will also send a consolation prize to the person with the least number of called words. :)

4.8 or higher rating required to play. Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile

How do I get rated?

So glad you asked. When you get your partner's name, send a postcard with a note. Be sure to put your name/forum name and WTA Bingo on the postcard so they'll know what it's for. When you get your postcard you can rate your partner. The actual game will continue until a winner is announced.

Recap

To play, you'll need to do the following:

a) join the swap

b) choose any 25 of the 100 words on the list below. Those 25 items will represent your "bingo" card. Post your list in the comment section before the last day to sign-up. Be sure to include the number and the word, i.e. 1) Scrapbook Paper for each of your choices.

c) when partners are assigned, send your partner a postcard greeting via snail mail

d) when a bingo winner is announced, mail the winner an item (new or gently used) from the 100 item list. The item is sender's choice. Winner(s) cannot specify the item they'd like to receive.

Thanks Faerlyfaerie! I corrected the sections! lol I think the swap will be alot of fun.

I dont see a reason why it cant be done in a general swap for everyone who might in enjoy it to take place. It's just one small item that you will have to send one person, I dont think it will be a problem. We will see. Live and learn right? I think it will be fun!

Rudexvirus: You arent being held accountable for sending the winner a prize, you will be doing that in good faith. Your raiting is for sending the postcard to the partner, the rest is just for fun. Everyone will be expected to send something to the winner, not just your partner. But it is done in good swap-bot faith.

Thanks for the excitment about the swap everyone, and for being on my side. I do admit that I was wrong for coping this swap from somewhere else, but I didnt do it to earn credit it, I just wanted everyone to be able to join and enjoy something I thought would be alot of fun. I am going to leave the swap up, and We will move on from this little issue and have fun with this swap, and prove to everyone that it is possible to do this in a public foremat, rather than just in a group. yay!! :)

For the record, I don't think it's wrong to "copy" a swap idea from someone else. If I am inspired by something to make my own swap, I either ask the coordinator if they mind or, if it's unrelated enough, I note when creating the swap that it was inspired by another one and post a link to it.

Also, this sounds like a lot of fun! :-)

Jessica, The winner will be the first person to get all 25 marked off, if more than one person gets to 25 at the same time, then I will divied it up and email each person in the group the address of the person that they send to, so that it is even. Also the numbers of the items dont have to corrispond, just as long as your list of 25 items is on here, is all that matters.

It's been brought to my attention that there are a few people "playing" that are not signed up for the swap. I want to make it CLEAR that ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE SIGNED UP FOR THE SWAP are to be playing. Only people who names are on the participants list will be allowed to win the prize. I will contact these people attempting to play without be signed up and try to clear this up. Also make sure that your lists are posted in the comment area. Dont forget to send the postcard to your partner either!

Friendship Book is NOT on the list twice & even if it was why would someone put Friendship Book twice on their "Bingo Card" if there were 98 other things to pick. Doesn't make any sense and doesn't seem fair to those with only 1 more word to go that we are a word short for today because the host has called a word that she already called on Day 2. I have more than one word to go but doesn't seem fair to others who may also be eligible for Bingo had the words been called correctly :(

I have a question- what if someone repeats the same word twice? Does this means that the person has only 24 and therefore can't win? or it counts as a 25 (the same word counts for two).??????

For now guys, I am going to halt the game.

There seems to be too many disputes to move on. I thought that I had it all under control, but I clearly do not. For some reason the card that I am going off of to call the items has some on it twice, but I see that isnt the case with the list posted here. I need to go through and fix that, as well as print out a copy of each persons list and see where they are at. I know some of you are very close. I will work on that today (I am about to leave work and go home sick so I will have plenty of time) and hopfully we can get back on the right track tomorrow.

Maybe try using a website like Random.org to pick the bingo words for you. You just enter the list of words and it randomly selects them for you each day :)

I am so so so sorry you guys!!! I have been really sick! But I finally just sat down and figure this out. I apparently had entered an item incorrectly on my list (Doubled on FB for no reason) So what I am going to do is give you a new word for the day I called FB twice, and then give you a new list for todays words. I am so sorry everyone!

OK so to replace FB on the last 5 items list, the new word will be:

  1. Bookmark

the new list for todays 5 itmes DAY SEVENTEEN:

  1. Scissors

  2. Backpack

  3. Throw Blanket

  4. Binder

  5. Stationary Set
