Description:

This swap is for all of those crafty souls here on Swap-bot. If you knit, crochet, sew, create Dotee dolls, make soap, fashion ATC's, work jewelry pieces, papercraft, or handmake any other 'crafty' stuff then this means you! For this swap you'll have one partner to send a handmade item or items to equalling about $7-10 in materials or worth. If the materials to make it and or the value of the item (if you're unsure search for items of similar quality on Etsy) to make it do not equal $7-10, you should send your partner more than just one item. One ATC or one plastic bead bracelet will not fill the requirements of this swap, no matter how nice they are. Please send your partner something of quality that you would be happy to receive yourself. Also, be sure to check profiles for allergies (to fragrances, nickel, wool, ect.) and preferences. (don't send a pink scarf if your partner detests that color) This is open to seasoned swappers with ratings of 4.8 and higher with no recent or unexplained 1's or 3's. Newbies with well filled in profiles and at least 3 rated non-email swaps may participate as well. I do reserve the right to ban swappers if needed, but will PM with a reason for doing so. I'm sorry, but in an effort to keep costs down, this will be regional and open to only the U.S. and Canada.

So, this swap is for materials for making something the partner would like to make?

kimpe 08/24/2009 #

I think it's for us to do what we do well and share the completed project with our partner. Like I don't do ATC's but would love to receive a very well made one so I know what they are and gave physically see and touch it. I suppose if we do a couple of things well we could pm our partner and have them choose. I don't know if this is correct but it's how i took the swap info,.

Ok, thanks for the info.

@kimpe - thats exactly what it is! Thank you. This is a swap in which you will make something you have an extra talent for making and send it to your partner. I've edited the swap a little to hopefully make it clearer. If you're good at a couple things, then you could definitely PM your partner and allow them to choose. I hope this helps : )

Can this be something we've previously made and are proud of?

(My specialty is fused glass, and depending on moisture my glues for the findings can need up to 3 months of drying time... I won't sell or give my work if it isn't dry)

i am great at jewlery making so you can pick earings or bracelet or even necklasses. i will pm you when i get youre name.

tigerlilly327 09/ 1/2009 #

@alaindrea - yes it can be something made previously (especially if your craft takes a while to set), as long as it is something that was made by you and you're proud of. The exception to this being that we obviously aren't going to send something like macaroni art from when we were 8. : )

I love the concept but schedule is tight for the next few weeks. Please consider running it again in future as I would love to have signed up this round:)
