Lights On! Decorate a switch plate!

Im Danielle Colors:greens, orange and brown. No red or blue please! On the switch plate... funky, bicycles, gnomes, vintage...retro.

Hi. I'm not signing up for the swap, but may I ask a dumb question? How do you decorate a light switch? Is acryllic paint all right? What do you use for the top clear level of protection?

I tried once to decorate a lightswitch for a friend, but had no idea how to do it.

tramseyer: If you get porcelain ones, then you can bake sculpey onto them. I use a glue gun and then coat it with a layer of mod podge.

I usually collage and decoupage my light switch plates...use glitter or vintage scraps of material buttons... anything... I think craftster has a few ideas, as far as "how to".
