Description:

For this swap, which is my first one to ever attempt to host...I have decided to try an ATC, but since I don't have a creative bone in my body for actual crafts, really...I decided to make this a digital ATC swap.

The rule is simple, really. Just create an ATC via your computer, or several if you want to, and you will email it to your partner.

I don't care what your rating is, I don't care if you've missed sending something before...I feel like I can make enough of these digital ATCs to be able to compensate.

Fairly simple. Create whatever strikes your fancy, or go see what your partner's profile is like and make one that would strike their fancy.

Most importantly, just have fun.

NOTE: If you want to take part, but decide you don't like the idea of sending your ATC via email, feel free to discuss with your partner about mailing them via snail mail with each other instead.

I'm a digital/hybrid girl, and my first atc's were digital. In fact, all my atc's are, untill now, but I have some printed.

Hey SwedishMum, I just learned how to make atcs in Photoshop last week. Photoshop is an Adobe product. It looks pretty scary but if you have a simple "how to" guide it's really not that hard. In Photoshop, you tell the program what size you want the file to be and it prints it at that size. I just found that out this morning. I'm so new to photoshop I really don't know what I am doing but I did manage to make an atc and print it! So I know you can too! Hope that helps even a wee bit! Staci

I use Paintshop Pro X2 (lots cheaper that Photoshop), or you can use photoshop elements, which is the "light" version of Photoshop. There are lots of tutorials, I learned my way at http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/tutorials.shtml and http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/a-tuts/publish/index.shtml

In these programs you can open a new document, and you set the size simply to 2,5 to 3,5 inch.

What would be the best format to save this in? Should we simply send a JPEG version or a PDF or what?

Can we send the printed digital instead? I don't want to lose control of my work by sending a file out into cyberspace!

OK--to my future partner--I will be sending my ATC via snail mail!

I think I prefer to send a printed copy too - that way I know the colours are what I want, which may not be the case if someone else prints it.

I've been a digital scrapbooker for a while, but I've never done a digital atc. It sounds like fun. I'm in. I'd also like to mail my printed out copy to my partner. :)

I've emailed my atc, as I can't mail it. It's a gif :)
