Description:

This is a US only swap.

This is the second round. We did one for May so now let's do one for June with a twist. This is how I can tell if you really read the guidelines!

If you love to make dishcloths or washcloths and just can't seem to stop collecting and trying various patterns, and if you just can't walk by the cotton yarn without touching it or, like me, buying at least one ball of it, then this swap is for you! Doesn't matter if you knit or crochet, both kinds are welcome.

Each person will have two partners. To each partner you will send:

One (1) handmade dishcloth/washcloth either knit or crochet, any pattern, any solid or variegated of the following colors or shades of these colors: blue, pink, purple or tan (also sometimes called ecru)

One (1) pattern - this can be the one you use or a favorite you want to share

One (1) 50 gram ball of cotton yarn, this can be any color

Anything extra you want to inclue.

Please do not ask for any particular pattern or color from the listed allowed colors. Remember that if you don't like any of the items, you can always re-swap in a different swap later.

Because you will have to shop and then make two dishcloths, and because they really aren't all that time consuming, you will have approximately two weeks from the time sign-ups end to send out your package.

A minimum rating of 4.7 is required to join this swap. If you are a newbie, however, please contact me and we'll chat.

Any questions, please contact me.

This will be fun, fast and fairly inexpensive.

Knit on! Crochet on! Swap on!

I want to be sure of the requirements so I can start knitting. Does the knitted washcloth have to have only one to four of the colors listed, and no additional colors, or may it have one to four of the colors listed, plus additional colors?

Thanks for clarifying. I can't wait to select my pattern and get knitting! Cateling

If you want to make it a combination of colors, you need to use the shades of colors listed (for instance you could make something variegated blue with plain tan or variegated pink with variegated blue). Does that help? (This means you can't add in some green unless it's part of the variegated BLUE or PINK or TAN or PURPLE.)

OK, so if I have some blue/green/yellow variegated, that's fair to use, but I can't take a plain blue and mix it up with plain green and yellow stripes.

Many thanks - please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I suppose technically you could but to be correct, all the colors should be in one skein.

Hi partners - RitaAnne and Rakesha

I am going to try my very hardest to get my packages out in the mail. ON monday my daughter, age 3, will be having open heart surgery. I am leaving the packages with my mom and she will mail them out for me. Depending on how surgery goes, hopefully totally uneventful, she will be able to mail them out. Please understand if there is a delay, Thanks Dee
