I’ve been joining a lot of music swaps lately and have been impressed with the songs that others have sent me. I apologize if this swap I’ve created is similar to one that was done in the past. I´m not trying to snake your idea, but I just couldn´t find one like it at the time, and thought I’d give it a shot. Anyway, as the old saying goes…”Imitation is the best form of flattery.” In this swap, you will be creating a music CD for one (1) partner. Put at least 14 songs on the CD; I for one, like to cram as much songs as possible on the disc. Here’s the thing—the title of each song need to have a place in the title. For example, you could include “Hotel California” by the Eagles or “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Heck, even “O Canada” would work! Make sure that you include a track list that has the song & artist when you send off your CD to your partner. Please package the CD carefully—send it in a bubble mailer or padded envelope to ensure safe transit. It’s such a bummer to receive a snapped disc. This swap is international because it's neat to swap with someone not in your home country because you get exposed to new songs that you might not hear otherwise, and also CDs are relatively inexpensive to mail. Newbies are welcome to join this swap (hey, we were all newbies once and they gotta get ratings somehow, right?) If you’re not a newbie, you need to have a rating of 4.95 minimum. I reserve the right to ban any one that seems fishy. A history of no-sends, 1s or 3s will get you banned from this swap. Don’t be a hater—I have to try to protect the integrity of good swappers. Being flaked on or swaplifted is not fun. When you receive your CD from your swap partner, please do your part and leave a rating. A CD that includes at least 14 songs with a location in the title warrants a rating of 5 regardless of whether you like the music/artist/genre or not. Be open-minded, people. For a heart—include a little surprise that has to do with one of the songs/artists or places mentioned in the songs. So to summarize—1 CD of at least 14 songs with locations/places in their titles to 1 partner. That’s it! Please PM your questions, concerns, etc. |
