This is for anything who loves to have pen pals. There is a twist instead of writng to your pen pal you will record to them. I know it sounds werid but once you get past the first one it gets so easy and fun.So this is how it works you will have two partners and you tape record and tell about you and your family and send it off and they listen and send it back. This is a swap I hope keeps going on between you and your partners. It's alos neat to check their profile and send a little extra. You can still buy tape recorders in walmart,target and tapes to in most drug stores and you keep using the tape ..So go get one and have fun... Please reg size tapes .. 2 Partners 2 Cassette tapes maybe a little extra profile treat. Please tape for at least 30 mins but feel free to tape longer. It's really fun give it a try..

Its a good idea but unfortunately I dont even have a tape player, let alone tape recorder!

this is a good idea, but since tape recorders and player are pretty much obsolete, it will be hard to do!

How about doing a digital/e-mail version, where we could record stuff then send it in an e-mail?

I REALLY enjoyed the first tape pal swap hosted by Polar so much that I"m signing up again. I have a tape recorder actually a few but in checking Target, Walmart and Radio Shack I've seen that the tape recorder is NOT going anywhere! IOW, they still sell them. So BRING IT:-) so much fun so very much fun. Find yourself a tape recorder, cassette tapes and get busy yapping er I mean recording your voice letter.

I know they sell recorder but then I'd have to buy a player. Would be cool if you did a digital version, like a vlog

could ppl maybe use the voice recorder on their cells, transfer to pc, burn to a non finalized dvd or cdr and send that back and forth??

Can a tape recorder not also be a tape player, zerofantasies? All the tape-recorders I've ever owned also have the capacity to play.

Perhaps you could make your own swap for a digital version?

I am don't know about digital version.. Yes tape recorders record and play. You can buy both sizes at walmart and it's well worth the 20 dollars tape palling is so fun..

FYI- there are some cassette PLAYERS only sold. I noticed this too recently. Be sure to look for a cassette RECORDER/Player.

I really like hearing Anita's voice and her stories when I get a cassette tape from her. I have a thumb drive and a digital recorder and in my humble opinion. Not the same. I hope you keep as is Polar. So much fun the OLD School Way :-) and glad you set it up this way. Thanks
