Dear AAA swappers, after a short conversation with one of the founders I want to try to establish a series for all of us to enjoy, and challenge ourselves. I hope that some of you are interested in it and will find joy in creating wonderful ATCs for this swap & series!

Sticker slapping or simply a print of that art style and nothing else is not enough. If it fits the style, shaping your ATC is welcomed (e.g. an arch for Art Nouveau).

Art Nouveau

Art Nouveau is an art and design movement from the late 19th to early 20th century known for its flowing, organic lines and nature-inspired motifs. Think vines, flowers, and elegant curves everywhere—from architecture to jewellery.

In painting, Art Nouveau is characterized by:

• Decorative style with detailed, graceful lines

• Flat, stylized figures, often women with long hair and flowing clothes

• Soft, muted colours and symmetrical compositions

• A strong focus on aesthetic beauty over realism

Artists like Alphonse Mucha made iconic posters and illustrations that basically define the look. It’s art that feels dreamy, elegant, and very ornamental.
