Scavenger Hunt Smörgâsbord!

Our group has been a little quiet lately so let’s try something new! This swap is a combination of scavenger hunts and creativity…

We will find/make and send (4) items from any of the categories below to one partner. Some are sender’s choice & some are profile-specific but please keep your partner’s likes/dislikes in mind when choosing.

• 3 blank/unwritten SCENIC VIEW postcards from the following list: • a sunrise or sunset • a view card from a country OTHER than where your partner is • something from your partner’s postcard likes • a place that starts with “M” • somewhere you’ve been • an ocean, lake, river or waterfall • a plane, airport or airstrip (this selection can be vintage) • a place in Europe • vintage (before 1969) •

• a handmade, (by you or someone else) piece of mail art that your partner can use - envelope, postcard, fold-n-send/postalette, letter set, etc. (Give credit if made by someone else & you’re passing it on.)

• 2 (or more) page letter, introducing yourself and answering (4) or more of any of these questions

• 10 wax seals (at least 3 different)

• 7 (or more) washi or PET tape samples, each 15” (38.1cm) or longer from these choices: • vintage-looking • map • something you eat or drink • something with green • sender’s choice • asian-themed • something with words • partner profile-specific • travel-related • airmail or snail mail themed • wider than 1 inch •

• 2 heavily-decorated envelopes - handmade or not, using (3) or more crafty mediums such as collage, paint, stamping, washi, stencils, decoupage, drawing, stickers, etc., any mailable size.

• 5 pieces of vintage ephemera from this list: • a map or map piece • a ticket/ticket stub • non-english book or magazine page • children’s book page with illustration • a letter or piece of a letter or envelope • 5 used vintage postage stamps from anywhere (on or off paper) • an unused postalette/fold-send or letter set • a playing card or game card • a photo •

• 12 custom return address labels for your partner, having to do with their profile

• 15 loose stickers - can be handmade, store-bought or a combination of both (make sure not to send any of your partner’s dislikes please)

• a surprise from your partner’s profile

Send in a heavily-decorated/upcycled envelope using real postage stamps that your partner will be excited to receive! If sending postcards, please wrap them with sturdy card stock or to protect the corners.

This swap can be all handmade (type 3) or not. Please read the swap description carefully. PM me or comment below with any questions or clarifications. I’ll check profiles before assigning partners and angel if necessary.
