Description:

I have been wanting to try Chunky Books, so I am having a Rainbow Chunkky Book Swap. This will be an ongoing swap which will have a total of eight parts - red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, lavender, purple. So if you want a whole book you will need to join each section of the swap. The first swap will be for the red page.

Okay, you will make one chunky page for one partner. Pink is the theme, and should be the predominant color of your page. The size of your pages should be 4" high by 5 " wide. We will be making these pages with a 1" wide margin on the LEFT side for you parnter to use for binding. Your working space will be 4" BY 4". If you don't know how to make a chunky book, you can find lots of samples online. Chunky books should have lots of embellishments. So lots of embellishments on the FRONT of the page. The back of the page does not have embellishments. But you should cover, paint or whatever the back of your page so that it is not just plain white. You can use the back for your name, and other info, or even write your partner a short note. Do a pretty and tasteful page, one you should be proud of and would like to receive. Maybe read your partners profile and gear it toward something which they are interested in, but not necessary. This is all about colors and your interpretation of them.

Chunky pages/books should be made on heavy cardstock, and the page should be glued onto a piece of cardboard backing from something like a cereal box. Then either put another piece of cardstock on the back, or paint it or color it in some way. You want the page to be really sturdy for all the embellishments

Newbies are welcome, and anyone with a 4.3 rating or higher. If you have recent no sends, please email me. We all have lives and ones and threes occasionally happen. I will take into consideration your overall swapbot performance.

Most of all, I want this to be fun and enjoyable for everyone. This will be an international swap, as it shouldn't cost too much to send one page.

hi this sounds really cool, so are the pages red or pink though?

moxsapphir 04/27/2009 #

Is the red page actually the front cover or do we each make our own cover and the red is the first color inside the book?

and..

Do we leave the pages whole without holes and let the person we send to prepare their own binding holes when they put their books together?

I love pink!

I'm confused. I just read the description over and I'm not sure if the page we make for our partner is to be red or pink.
