Description:

This is a swap for all the "remix" enthusiasts out there. Ever love a song or band so much that you actually buy one (or more) of those over-priced import singles? Sometimes one of the remixes actually ends up sounding better than the original, or on the flip side, can totally make it a horrible song!

Let's say, for instance, that you like Jason Nevins remixes. You can include several different artists, all Jason Nevins remixes. Or you love Korn, or Shania Twain, or Garbage, or whoever, and can make an entire CD using nothing but REMIXES by different producers... SWEEEEEEEET!

Avoid using "mashups" or "blends" (you know, where the vocals of one song are laid over the top of a different song and they kind of "fit" together) because there's room for another swap there alone, I'm sure. I'm talking about authorized remixes, no bedroom producers allowed.

Also, no "cover" songs. Sure, the Gourds performing Snoop Dogg's "Gin 'n Juice" is a great song, BUT ... it's not a remix. M'kay?

RULES: All Genres welcome

CD must contain at least 6 songs - more if you have them. I'm keeping the required number relatively low to make this swap more inclusive!

No song duplication (ie, Garbage - Milk (Rabbit in the Moon mix, Hyphy Club Mix, Club 69 remix, the Remix That Wouldn't Die mix, etc.) where someone gets a cd full of remixes of just ONE song - what a drag!

Include a tracklist with artist, song title, and remix name/remix producer.

Newbies welcome, but you'll pay if you flake.

If you have any "no-sends" or less than a 3 rating, you'll be banned.

Above all, have fun! I can't wait!

All right, people ... I'm just 10 seconds shy of a full 80 minute CD-R (14 songs) of "remix-alicious goodness" on deck and ready to go (my, what an eager boy!).

I don't know that I've ever been as excited about a CD swap ... who'da thought?

Update: I want to apologize to my current swap partners that I am running late. My sister needed to come up immediately to start getting moved in. We've been working around the clock to prep part of the house and I have had no time for anything else...even sleep! I am trying my best to get caught up. I am not going to flake on anyone, but please please please be patient with me. I really am trying the best I can. I'm sorry! I hope the special packages I put together for you will make up for it!

Casey - OMG what a FABULOUS CD! So many indie bands, and I had no idea some of these bands were remix-able. I especially love the remix of Flaming Lips' "Do You Realize?" It reminded me what a great song that is ... I'm still absorbing it all -- thanks for a GREAT SWAP EXPERIENCE!

Kimmie - I just got your CD in the mail today, and enjoyed the Killers' "Mr. Brightside" remix ... very fitting as I am going to see them in concert in Portland, Oregon TONITE! Good way to get "pumped up" for the show. Thank you, also, for the GREAT SWAP EXPERIENCE!
