could you expand on what "VINTAGE" means so that we're all on the same page about what to send?

I guess it would be what you think of as vintage but the ones I have are older from the 60s I think.

No Torn,Bent,Nasty looking ones though!!! Still in good decent shape just older. If anybody has a different take on that point of view (vintage) please let me know!!! Not from like the 1990 - 2009 but older than that!

Does that make sense????

Also they tend to be smaller than the normal size postcard these days

Hi - My sister has made me question the intent of this swap. Are the postcards supposed to be old and written on a long time ago? Or are they supposed to be old and blank so that I can write a note on them?

I was interested in looing to see if I could find "vintage" ones, so, I went to an antique flea market here and several people had photo albums with OLDER ones in there...They had yellowed , nut had not been written on and yes, smaller that the postcards that we have now...I am older than 50 and these looked like they had been purchased iwhen I was younger...Very good condition...But, expensive to me; some up to $5...I chose everal that I felt would be interesting to others, and to myself...I need to go back and get one more...

Atinagrace - I found my vintage post cards at a local thrift store. I did not count them but I paid $3 for about 50 or so. They seem to be from the 50's and 60' for the most part. None of they have been written on. Maybe you can look at some places nearby that do not focus so much on antiques.

moowee, Thank you for sharing that other resource...I have looked in many places for postcards....PERIOD... and places are few...My biggest resource for new ones is WalMart!!! I will look today for a thrift store that I can get to...I don't drive, kist take the bus or walk...

These need to be written on by YOU before sending to your partner.

I found the ones I have at our local Trade Days in a box of stuff one of the guys gave me because he didn't want to pack all of his stuff up.He gave away alot of really neat old items and this just happen to be in the box I picked. I have also found them on Ebay and Etsy for pretty cheap!

OOPS!!!! I was wondering if we could mail them in an envelope, so that they would be protected for their valur?????

This is great. I got a stackof old vintage cards at a local thrift store. I paid $2 for about 30. They also had some protected in plastic that were $2 up to $15. I got a few of them also. I wanted a swap like this to share. So thanks for doing this. I can't wait to share some that I have and get some others. I even got some old ones that have writing on thema nd is postmarked from way lon time ago.
