I saw KnitKnit from etsy on the Martha Stewart show this last week make these and I think they are wonderful. You can google knitted postcard and her tutorial from the etsy labs is readily available so you can see how these are made. Maybe you have an idea to modify it yourself. You knit a 4"x6" piece. Using a cardboard backing, punch little holes around the edge. Stitch your knitted piece in place. Remember to draw the line down the middle and write (or stamp) Postcard at the top. You will need to take this to the post office to get correct postage. Do not just put a postcard stamp on it or it will be refused or come postage due. What you will be making for swapping: You will have one partner to make and send one knitted postcard to. Swapper Requirements: Filled out profile to start with. You must have already completed and been rated for a minimum of 10 swaps not including email type swaps, a 4.7 or higher, and no no-sends in the last 6 months. Please, if you don't really have the time because you've already signed up for too many swaps or lack the know how to make such items don't sign up. I will check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. |
