Description: | |
You can interpret May Day how you'd like. According to Wiki, in some parts of the United States, May Baskets are made. These baskets are small and usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The basket giver would ring the bell and run away. The person receiving the basket would try to catch the fleeing giver. If they caught the person, a kiss was to be exchanged. When I was a kid, I would make a filled basket, hang it on my front door, knock and then run and hide. My mom would answer the door to find my May Day basket. She always acted surprised! So for this swap, put together a basket (or any kind of container, bag or tote is fine, handmade or not) and put a few nice things inside such as lotions, candles, stationery, handmade items, spring themed items or whatever you want. This is senders choice since it's a surprise for May Day! USA only, swappers with ratings of at least 4.9 and no recent no-sends. Value around $10. |
