Description:

This swap is for anyone who loves reading, books, writing, and adjacent subjects/activities.

Send your partner a book-themed note card and write about anything you would like as long as is it’s related to books, reading, writing, etc., enclose a bookish flat gift, and decorate the envelope with book related images.

The note card should be either store-bought or, if you are an experienced paper-crafter, handmade. (Please, no pieces of paper that are merely folded over, foam stickers, kiddie embellishments, etc.)

The theme of books can be loosely interpreted i.e. typewriters, pens, a picture or quote by an author, bookstores, libraries.

(Please don’t send anything that’s smelly, schmutzy, tattered, torn, lame, or juvenile.)

Some writing ideas: what books have you read this month? Did you love them or hate them? If you didn’t finish them, why not? Did you visit the bookstore, library, an author reading? What kind of books do you like? Where do you like to read? Were you too busy to read? How many books do you usually read in a month or a year? Do you participate in any reading challenges or a book group? What is a children’s book that you have a fond memory of? Was there a book assigned in school that you loved or hated? Has your taste in books changed over the years? Do you prefer traditional books, used books, hardbacks, first editions, ebooks, audiobooks? Do you write poetry, short stories, nonfiction?

(this swap is being hosted in conjunction with the group What’s In Your Mailbox?)
