BLCnotecard swap

This is a notecard swap and not a postcard swap because it's asking you to write a little more than usually fits on a PC.

Write about the first book or books you remember. What was it? Who wrote it (if you know), did someone read it to you -- if so who? Or were you old enough to read it yourself? Were there illustrations? Did you like it very much? If so why? If it was a picture book without a story; tell us about the first story book you remember.
